Camping on the car park of the valley station

Most bike park enthusiasts can hardly do without their own workshop. That's why it's a good idea to pitch your tents in the immediate proximity of where action takes place. You have plenty of space in your campervan to store your tools and cycling equipment. We also have suitable bike racks for your van.
More and more destinations in the Alps are recognising this need and are adapting their offers for camping. The offers can look quite different. Sometimes people drop a hint that you can simply disregard the "no camping" signs. In many parks there's a simple but official zone for camping buses and motorhomes. It becomes a real luxury when a large part of the dusty car park is open for camping and it doesn't matter if you arrive with a charming one-man tent or a converted truck.

The beauty of bike park camping is that you can meet many like-minded people. Whether it's beer, cooking utensils, whole dinners, bike tubes, wheels or even complete bikes, people swap, lend and help each other. Here you can talk shop, tinker with your bike and enjoy one or two beers after a ride.
We would like to show you great bike park campsites in top biking regions that are perfect for a bike park holiday/weekend.

Bikepark-Knigge

Bike parks are perfect for practising and learning - for all bikers! Therefore, you should also observe a few rules. Wear protective gear and find out which routes require full-face helmets. Try to avoid forming groups at road crossings and meeting points. Keep a sufficient distance to the rider in front of you and ride anticipatory. After a crash you should leave the spot where it happened as quickly as possible! Your bike should be in good condition and well maintained. Enduro bikes or freeride bikes are best suited. It's better not to go uphill or ride downhill - riding downhill is more fun anyway.
