5-Star Camping – Relaxation at its highest level

But we do think that every now and then it can be a bit more luxurious and then we look out for very different stars. 5-star campsites are a very practical addition to the cosy camper, especially in winter, because many of them are equipped with a sauna - just the right thing after a long day outdoors in cold temperatures. Near popular ski resorts, you'll often find luxury campsites with their own ski room, where you can dry your wet clothes after extensive winter sports action. But 5-star camping can also be worthwhile for the peak season in summer, e.g. if the campsite has its own pool or private beach access.

Snow-covered slopes and seemingly endless mountain landscapes are a reason for many winter sports fans to go to Austria year after year. Wellness, fresh Baltic Sea air and much more can be found between April and November at the Camping & Baltic Sea Holiday Park Walkyrien, very close to Bliesdorf beach. Only a 250-metre walk separates you from the unspoilt Baltic Sea beach directly on the steep shore and the bay which is ideal for swimming, stand-up paddling or simply relaxing. But the campsite's own facilities are also a treat: log saunas, a whirlpool on the rooftop terrace and a wide range of different massages and cosmetic treatments invite you to relax - with a view of the Baltic Sea included. The Baltic Sea spa town of Grömitz is about four kilometres away and you can take a relaxed walk along the beach to get there. Sports fans will also get their money's worth as there's access to the official Baltic Sea coastal cycle path in immediate proximity of the campsite.

In addition to the wellness facilities, young guests are also catered for. There are numerous leisure facilities for children of all ages to make sure the whole family can enjoy the vacation to the fullest. From bouncy castles to children's cinema and basketball there's something for everyone.

Embedded in the Sesto Dolomites, the Caravan Park Sexten awaits your visit. As if the idyllic peaceful location with a view of the mountains of the Sesto Sundial were not reason enough to visit, the Caravan Park offers a wide range of wellness facilities. After extensive hikes in the surrounding area or long excursions to the picturesque mountain villages of the region you can unwind in the indoor pool with a view of the countryside or in the outdoor pool with a garden,or you can have your tense muscles massaged in the wellness area. The saunarium, steam bath, heat bench or Finnish sauna will keep you warm and cosy. Electric cars are available for quiet joyrides through the beautiful Zillertal. Otherwise, a fitness studio, indoor and outdoor activities for children and teenagers, and the multifaceted possibilities of the region provide variety. It's wonderfully suitable for hiking, climbing and cycling tours in summer and becomes a snowy skiing, cross-country skiing and tobogganing paradise in winter.

The farm, which has its own swimming pond and its surroundings invite you to go on long hikes, mountain tours or bike rides as well as offering a wide range of activities. Whether volleyball, yoga, nature adventure trails or relaxed picnics or barbecues, there's plenty to do at the Gerhardhof. In winter, the Olympic regions of Seefeld and Ötztal are within easy reach by bus for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts and the ski tours on the Mieminger Kette are also nearby. The favourable location on a high plateau also ensures there's a lot of sun on the farm in summer and in winter as well.

The weekly programme offered by the farm is a real highlight. On snowshoe or alpaca hikes (to name just two examples from the variety of programmes) you can get to know the other farm visitors and explore the area in a group. You should also not forget to visit the guesthouse and the farm shop!
