Camping Tuscany - The 5 most beautiful nature camping spots
Article from Melanie
For camping in Tuscany and the perfect holiday in nature, you need the right campsite. Here are 5 private nature campsites for a Mediterranean camping trip in the sun.
Let's be honest. Camping is great for exactly two reasons: maximum flexibility and time in nature.
However, since free standing is illegal in large parts of Europe, `camping close to nature` requires the right campsites. Especially in popular camping regions such as Italy, these are not easy to find. What usually helps me in my search is Nomady: Here, private individuals make parts of their property available as campsites. So far Nomady has included campsites in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and most recently - and much to my personal delight - also in Italy, because this is where Tuscany is located.
Camping holidays in Tuscany
Travelling by camper van from southern Germany takes just under 8 hours, which is a great investment but can easily be split over several days.
If you do everything right, camping in Tuscany feels like a perfect summer holiday: the Tuscan countryside is quiet, warm, dry and vast. Towns are quiet, full of coffee and cobblestones and there is probably no better place to camp, ride a road bike, read and find peace and quiet.
Campsites in Tuscany
For Tuscany camping and the Mediterranean version of the perfect summer, however, you need the right campsites.
Here you will find 5 private campsites for a holiday in Tuscany surrounded by nature.
