Days are getting shorter, temperatures are dropping and the longing for warm summer days is growing. Many people winterise their motorhomes and campers but you secretly want to sit in front of your camper in a T-shirt and shorts under the blue sky.

The South of Spain
Camping in winter is particularly nice in beautiful Spain. The south of Spain is characterised by the Mediterranean climate. Even in January, you'll find the best camping temperatures for your winter holiday in the sun in Andalusia or Catalonia.

Winter camping in Andalusia
When you choose winter camping in Andalusia you'll get everything your heart desires: snow-covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada or warm temperatures on the coast with beautiful beaches for surfing, sailing or walking. For all sports lovers, the large nature parks and mountains offer everything from hiking to mountain biking. The Costa del Sol is convincing with beautiful towns like Marbella. But nature surrounding the Sierra del Pinar and the province Cádiz invites you to realx and feel good.
Catalonia offers a variety of possibilities for a great trip with your camper van. If you're missing winter sports you can hit the slopes in the popular ski region of the Pyrenees. Not in the mood for snow? Then simply drive on to Costa Brava. Tip: in winter, the coast is not as crowded as in summer. There are numerous campsites that are open all year round and invite you to spend the winter with your motorhome as well.

Sicily

France
The Mediterranean climate brings mild temperatures to the south of France. The weather is mostly sunny and stable with little rainfall. There are many beautiful things to admire in the south of France. You can expect fantastic campsites with sea views, beautiful towns and pure nature.

For culture lovers, France is a wonderful destination with a rich history. There's often not enough time to see everything in summer but in winter you can swap long days on the beach for walks through the picturesque streets and use your time to visit museums. This way you get to know the South of France in a completely different but at least equally beautiful way! The hilly landscape makes the south of France an ideal place for spors activities. These activities are an excellent alternative to spending a normal winter sports holiday in the snow.
Côte d'Azur
Also called the Sun Coast because the sun is shinning almost all year round here. Therefore, this section of the French Mediterranean coast is also worthwhile in the winter months. Summer tourists actually don't see the Côte d'Azur at all. Haze and heat often cloud the view, obscuring the colours and making them appear pale. The clear winte air gives the sea a deep blue colour. On the horizon you can see snow-capped mountains of the Maritime Alps and breathtaking green nature in the rocky hinterland. In February, during carnival season, the coast turns upside down - definitely worth a trip.
Winter camping doesn't always include skiing or camping holidays at low temperatures. Why don't you get out of Germany and escape the cold with your caravan. Of course, the car journeys to the south are not to be underestimated but if you even have the opportunity to work remotely, why not head south? Spending winter in warm countries is super trendy.
